On Tuesday 29th December, the school choir joined other primary school singers from across Oxfordshire to perform in the impressive surroundings of Oxford Town Hall. Following an afternoon rehearsal, some children were collected by parents and went for a quick bite to eat, while the remainder of the children made their way to the Wesleyan Memorial Hall for some well-earned refreshments with Miss Regan and Miss Gascoigne.
When the performance began, our children gave and excellent rendition of their song – Ave Maria, which included a wonderful duet from Thomas Grenfell and Phoebe Hutt (who stood in for another pupil at the last minute). The finale included two 'massed choir' songs - Tree Of Light and Good Time Christmas - before the audience joined in with the Twelve Days Of Christmas. All of our choristers – and Mrs Broadhead, who accompanied us on the piano – should be very proud of themselves.
