The Victorians
This week, we have been exploring our new topic: The Victorians. We started by creating a human timeline of key historical eras. We then learnt about Queen Victoria. We hunted around the field to find out facts about her life and then drew a timeline of the events in our books. We ended our week by learning about The British Empire. We used atlases to help us to identify countries that were part of the empire. Afterwards, we played a game to explore 'The Scramble for Africa'. It was really frustrating when we didn't get the land we wanted for our empires!
