The Big Science Event Finals
This week, we were invited to the new Science Oxford Centre for the final of the Big Science Event. The day was full of exciting activities; one of our favourites was testing the sugar levels of different food and drink using a glucose meter. The children loved their lab coats, glasses and gloves! Later in the day, they shared their results from the investigation that they carried out during Science Week to a room full of people, including six judges! As part of their presentation, they had to answer very challenging questions and I was super impressed with their answers! I am ecstatic to say that out of over 100 schools that took part, and 11 teams in the final, our team came in the top 3 and were highly commended for their investigation. I am extremely proud of what the children have achieved. Their confidence infront of a room of strangers astounded me and I received glowing feedback about them throughout the day from the volunteers and other teachers at the centre. Well done team!
