Science Oxford
What a fantastic day we had at Science Oxford to kick start our unit: Resilient Researchers. We started our day by entering the Exploration Zone, where we could choose what activities we wanted to have a go at. This ranged from playing 'Guess Who?' with rocks to using our teeth to listen to music! Next, we took part in a workshop all about Rube Goldberg. We learnt about the machines that he made and tried to create our own. At times, this was really frustrating, but we persevered and created some excellent systems! Finally, we watched a show, which encouraged us to predict and explain science. The children behaved fantastically throughout, asking interesting questions, and I am looking forward to seeing what they choose to investigate during Science Week.
