Week 3
What a productive week it has been in Oak Class! The children have worked extremely hard on a wide range of activities. Both groups designed and wrote their own thank you cards for people who have supported them during the pandemic. They also wrote the most wonderful letters to our 2020 Maple cohort. I am sure that these children will feel more comfortable when they start in September thanks to the lovely welcome letters that our 6s have written for them. We continued our own transition work this week. The focus was on building new friendships. Although it was challenging to role play meeting someone new, I was really impressed with the children's ability to listen and respond to each other to keep the conversations flowing. Group A had the pleasure of the nicer weather this week and therefore started to practise for Sports Day. We have our fingers crossed for brighter weather for Group B next week!
