Just like our first event in 2018, it was a beautiful autumnal morning on the 26th September 2019 as Chesterton held its second Race For Life in support of Cancer Research. The runners, complete with personal messages pinned to their backs, were out in force from the minute the school gates opened and put in a huge amount of effort towards the goal of 21 laps around the school field. Many Maple Class pupils completed the whole 5 kilometres, which was an incredible effort, and lots of intrepid older runners set themselves targets of way beyond 30 laps! Thank you to Mrs Rotherham for organising and to Bryan Taunton from Tesco, who supplied us with oranges and helped present the hard-earned medals. We all had a fantastic time and are looking forward to seeing the final total raised for such a fantastic cause. View our photos and watch the video below
