Feedback 2018-19
"I wanted to say how delighted my husband and I are with (our son's) enthusiasm for school this year. He is thrilled to have you as his new teacher, and your constant encouragement and praise have not gone unnoticed. He has been beaming every day when he comes home from school, telling us that he has been on gold or silver each day, has received stickers for his hard work etc. He announced on Friday that he had "the best school day ever" when he was given the sticker for being the best worker all week.
So thanks again for your hard work and encouragement." Year 2 Parent, September 2018

"Thank you so much for taking the time today to show us around your school and making us feel so welcome.
We were really impressed by the warm, friendly atmosphere and the overall ethos of the school. We really appreciate you taking time out of your diary." Prospective Parent, November 2018

"I'd just like to say a big thank you for today's trip. My daughter had a brilliant time and is absolutely loving the 'space' topic. Thank you for organising." Year 1 Parent, February 2019

"I hope you, the staff and the children enjoyed your snowy day at school. I just want to thank you and the teachers/teaching assistants for opening the school today as it sets a good example to the children that we have to carry even when things get tricky as they will have this to deal with when the eventually move on to work. This is what makes Chesterton such a good school and gives our children the best grounding for their future.
Well done to you all." Year 6 Parent, February 2019

"Firstly - can I just say a HUGE thank you for inviting me to Chesterton School last week. I had a really brilliant day. I hope the children and staff enjoyed my visit as much as I did. Please thank everyone for making me so welcome and for looking after me so well, and thank the children for joining in with all the workshop sessions so enthusiastically." Cas Lester, March 2019

"Thank you for a wonderful day... I loved it! What a fantastic group of inspiring teachers. All the children had such respect for their teachers and were so polite. Thank you again for making me so welcome." Visiting Teacher - March 2019

She has come back buzzing, full of stories and looking so happy which is brilliant.” Year 6 Parent, September 2017

"Thank you (Mrs Meaney and Mrs Salter) both so much for all the hard work you both have put in for our children to sing so beautifully last night at the Children Singing for Children concert. They have done themselves proud, as well as the school, and it was a privilege to go and watch such a performance by all the children at such a young age.
Thank you again for allowing our children to have this opportunity." Year 5 Parents, March 2018

"I just want to say a huge thank you for having me at your school last week. I had such a fantastic time and learnt so much from your amazing staff.
The children at Chesterton Primary are a real credit to your school and you should be very proud of them. They were all so welcoming, polite and respectful, which was so nice to see.
I felt so welcome from the moment I walked in and I can't thank your lovely team enough for taking the time to talk to me about education and generally giving me a valuable insight into the daily running of a classroom.
Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to experience such a wonderful school like yours." Work Experience Volunteer, April 2018

"I just thought you should know that in a time when teachers are under such pressure, the human side of teachers going above and beyond for their pupils and families is really appreciated." Grateful Parent, May 2018

"Thank you so much for your kind words of feedback. I had a super day working with the children, teachers and parents. It was wonderful to involve Cathy and Rachel in the performance.
I thought the day was brilliant and the children were amazing." Visiting Chef, May 2018

"I just wanted to send an email to say **** came out of school absolutely buzzing today. I know schools get many emails when people are unhappy about something, so I just wanted to send an email to say today's food activity was loved.
I have now been told that he will be taking over the kitchen to cook tea once a week!! Thank you." Year 5 Parent, May 2018

"Thank you so much … for taking the initiative and trouble and time out of your life, to organise the trip to Wembley on Saturday. They both absolutely loved it. Shame Arsenal didn’t get more of the action down their end, but I think for … it was all about the whole experience. I was supremely jealous as they set off in the sunshine!" Year 3 Parent, May 2018

"I just wanted to say "thank you" to you and the school for organising the tickets for the Women’s FA Cup Final yesterday. My daughters and I had a really great day and it was a fantastic experience for the girls, going to their first football match and their first time at Wembley Stadium. We all had a really fantastic time and they’ve told me they want to go to more live sporting events in the future so it was inspirational too." Year 4/6 Parent, May 2018

"Hopefully the girls enjoyed it as much as we did. You are doing a great job with them and it's fantastic to see so many girls so enthusiastic about football. They have some great basic skills and understanding." Visiting football coach, May 2018

"I just wanted to thank you for the way you carried out and handled this week’s SAT's. **** wasn't anxious or worried in any way and it was such a relief for me. I really don't think there was anything else you could have done to make the week anymore stress free. All of the other parents I spoke to in the playground sang your praises and commented on how unworried their children were." Year 2 Parent, May 2018

"What a wonderful evening (Festival of Voices). It was clear how much the children relished the experience (and the Chesterton lot looked thoroughly polished and smart). It was great to watch others playing their instruments too.
Thanks for organising and working hard to produce a wonderful experience for everyone." Year 3 Parent, June 2018

"I noticed that every child has made a massive improvement with their physical activities, with everyone willing to have a go. I noticed this as being a parent of Chesterton for so many years, I definitely can see a change in the children's attitudes towards physical sports." Year 6 Parent, June 2018

"What another brilliantly orchestrated Sports Day! In spite of the heat it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, for all the parents as well as the children I believe! Thank you." Lower School Parent, June 2018

"I was struck not only by the quality of performances but also by the looks of pure joy, pleasure and excitement on the faces of the children as they performed and the expressions of pride and satisfactory once they re-took their seats and as they left the hall – I’m sure that many had grown by a couple of centimetres!
Another great example of how PE, physical activity and sport can held to boost children’s confidence, self-esteem, cooperation and communication skills whilst at the same time building a real sense of belonging.
Well done everyone for your efforts, you’re just as entitled as the children to feel proud of yourself for what you’ve achieved leading up to and during last night’s event!”" School Sports Organiser, June 2018

"I am so pleased that you involve the children in so many sporting events, it’s such an important part of their learning about teamwork, competition and determination (and really fun!). " Lower School Parent, June 2018

"Dear Mr Horner and team, Thanks for a wonderful year. It’s a joy to see (our daughter) and her friends thrive and I’m sure we aren’t the only parents who want to express their thanks and wish you a wonderful summer." Year 1 Parent, July 2018

"Dear Miss Crockett & Miss Barrett, Just wanted to drop you both a line to say what a wonderful Upper School Performance on Tuesday night - the children did a fantastic job and the singing was amazing - they should be very proud of themselves as they certainly made us proud and the school (especially for such a small school).
Many thanks to you both and all the other staff members (& parents) who helped - the school has some very talented children.
We are looking forward to next year's." Year 5 Parents, July 2018

"We wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for (our daughter) whilst she has been at Chesterton School. She has loved every moment and come on in leaps and bounds. We are particularly pleased with the assistance she has received in maths as this is a subject she has always struggled with. I am sure her happy memories of her time at Chesterton School will stay with her for life and we feel she is now a well-rounded daughter that will embrace secondary school with confidence and this is something you have played a large part in." Year 6 Parents, July 2018

"I just wanted to say how much we both enjoyed the cricket yesterday and the Sports Day last week. The atmosphere amongst the children on both occasions was a real tribute to the school. Everyone was encouraging each other and the older children were looking after the younger ones. No matter what house was competing, everyone was willing them to do well. The atmosphere and ethos of the day was such, that even the children who do not particularly like or excel in sports, were fully supported and the activities were inclusive of everyone."
