26 Jan - School Newsletter
Another busy week! I have been able to see lots of great teaching and learning including solving dinosaur problems with Beech class; presenting persuasive adverts in Oak (very Young Apprentice!) and even finding messages from out of space with Maple! We have also just started our new lunch arrangements and the reactions from the children and adults are resoundingly positive. As with any new idea, there will be teething problems, but with such a positive attitude and so much help, particularly from members...

We are now well into the term and moving on with some new initiatives at a pace. Thank you for your support for the alterations to the start of the day. Just to remind you, myself and another teacher will be on duty on the playground at 8.40am every morning and you are very welcome to leave the children with us should you need to get away before doors open at 8.50am...

16 Jan - Pupil Premuimns: Free School Meals
Every year we are required to take a census of the number of children and staff in school and to report certain statistics. This information is applied to the funding formulae to assess the budget allocated to school for the coming financial year. This year the Government is increasing the 'Pupil Premiums' available as additional funding of between £250 and £600 per pupil. The funding is provided to school for every child eligible for free school meals or who has a least one parent currently serving in Her Majesty's
