Our enthusiastic girls from Year 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a friendly match in school, representing their managers - Miss Baxter and Miss Barrett - admirably. The play was end-to-end, with lots of impressive defending and goalkeeping attempting the thwart the attacks. However, the pinks (Baxter's Ballers) were the more ruthless in front of goal and raced into a 3-0 lead with strikes from Olivia Berridge (2) and Alexa Larrain. The Battling Barretts (Purple) eventually pulled one back, courtesy of Ivy Ward's first goal for Chesterton. As they pushed for a deserved second, the Ballers hit them on the counter-attack and Georgina Hales finished well to make it 4-1. Players of the match were Lily Davies and Olivia Berridge. We look forward to their next appearance on the football pitch.
